Idea of an Adventure
“Happiness should be the natural state of mind”, The Fountainhead
Growing up we all had an idea of life we wanted. Offcourse, as we grew the idea evolved as per the circumstances and opportunities but there were always starry skies, world travel, lots of fun and more was on the agenda.
Then somewhere down the line life happened. We got busy with settling our lives, wrestling the surrounding, and making the best out of whatever we got. The journey was tough and exhausting and drained many of their wants and needs from life. The everyday struggle of survival becomes worse with happy faces on social media or when you see someone else living the life you imagined for yourself in the first place. It is a torture, I get it.
The idea of an adventurous life has a stronger pull then gravity itself. Think about it if someone will offer us a world tour all expenses paid no question asked no strings attached we would jump for it won't we? But if I say that it will be for you and you only and no one else, also while you are on the trip you cannot contact your loved ones, then what will you say? I will go out on a limb here and say the majority of us will refuse to go. (For those who will still go, please take your tickets from me).Why is that? We wanted to see the world, didn't we? We wanted a solo trip too? Then why refuse the adventure. For the simple reason, we don't enjoy the adventure we enjoy the company with which we share it. It won't be the same without them. Ok tell me one more thing , would you like to exchange your life/your loved ones for a never-ending bank account? If you are granted 3 wishes with a condition that you cannot share the granted wishes with your family what you will wish for? Think of these answers and you will find your adventure.
There is a difference between the idea of an adventure and actually having a real-life life adventure. The same goes for the philosophy of life too. We all have some idea of a perfect or near-perfect life in our head but life has its own way of going through the motion of changes. You make your life with the people you let in your circle, the company you keep ( I am not talking about the forced intruders here, who are peripheral to your main relation). As long as you have good people in your life to enjoy it with it will be worth living. A good friend of mine has once said that it is a sad thing that people change, and I had laughed and replied thank the merciful God that people change otherwise how boring life would have been with the same old same old kind of people in our life.
Your life is your adventure, ENJOY the ride.
Yes we enjoy the compny if the people around us, they are the truly ones with whom we share our adventures
